New Friends & New Skills

 
 

2nd semester is a great time to review and renew your Executive Function skills and strategies to ensure you are ready to tackle your end-of-year grades and goals. Learning with peers allows for higher-level thinking and discussion while also practicing teamwork, social skills, and flexible thinking. LifeSolved is excited to offer wonderful learning opportunities for students this Spring:

  • Job + Internship Development Skills Workshop

    • Mondays and Tuesdays at 6-7pm EST on February 27th + 28th and March 6th + 7th

      • *Optional 25-minute individual drop-in sessions available for personalized support on Friday, March 10th

    • Participants will receive support to write resumes and cover letters, learn how to communicate effectively with potential employers, navigate the mechanics of a job search, and increase confidence with proven tools and strategies.

  • Executive Function Skills Intensive:

    • Tuesdays at 7-8pm EST on March 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th

    • Small group learning led by a professional Executive Function Coach, this four-session course will focus on strategies for Middle School and High School students to improve their general EF skills and improve their academic experience.

  • AP Prep Course:

    • Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-8pm EST on April 11th + 13th and April 18th + 20th

    • Students will learn to develop a study calendar, choose their optimal study method, improve study skills, and manage test-taking nerves to prepare for their upcoming AP Exams.

Jessy Feinberg, MS

An integral part of the Life Solved team for over four years, Jessy is highly skilled in supporting students with writing, organization, study skills, course-specific content, and time management. She is strongly committed to helping students feel empowered as learners and to foster productivity and creativity in an increasingly digital world.

With extensive experience in educational settings, Jessy spent time teaching Social Studies in D.C. Public Schools, worked with students aged 17-24 at an Opportunity Academy, and also spent time teaching History at the secondary level at Prince George’s County Public Schools. Jessy has direct experience teaching U.S. History, AP World History, and World History at the honors and ESL levels.  

Additionally, with six years of experience as Head Counselor, Jessy spent a total of 12 years working with young adults at a sleep-away camp in the Catskill Mountains.

Jessy has a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Maryland at College Park; she also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Studies and two Graduate Certificates in School Administration and Supervision and Leadership in Technology Integration from Johns Hopkins University.
