setting up your weekly calendar: 3 key steps

We recommend reviewing and setting up your calendar on a weekly basis. You can even check it & monitor it daily, but at minimum have some kind of calendar system where you can list & organize all personal & family events. This can be done on paper, electronically, or even on a family dry-erase board; whichever feels easiest for you to maintain long-term.

  1. LIST: Start by listing out all events that week: personal & family

  2. PLAN: Decide what is important, and what is not. If it’s helpful, you can also meal plan & prep.

  3. SCHEDULE: Schedule your personal to-dos by time blocking when you will work on them.

This helps you to gain control of your schedule, while also allowing the opportunity to discuss where you might need help & support throughout your days & week to come.

Do you use a paper or electronic calendar?
